MARUBENI POWER INTERNATIONAL, INC.
ANNOUNCE JOINT VENTURE

RUTLAND, VT – Catamount Energy Corporation (Catamount) and Marubeni Power International, Inc. (Marubeni) announced today that they have executed a Joint Development Agreement. This deal represents an exclusive arrangement for wind energy development throughout New England, New York, and Pennsylvania.

“Marubeni provides Catamount with resources necessary for Catamount to successfully grow a wind power portfolio in the Northeast U.S.,” said Joseph Cofelice, Catamount’s President. “This development agreement, our recently announced UK joint development agreement, and the December 2003 completion of our Sweetwater, Texas, project represent significant milestones in the implementation of Catamount’s wind energy strategy.”

“Marubeni is excited by the opportunity to expand our presence in the renewable energy field with this joint venture in the Northeast U.S.,” said Toshimitsu Oda, President and CEO of Marubeni Power International. “Catamount is a strong partner with significant development skills that complement Marubeni’s strategy for expanding our wind energy portfolio from Asia and Europe into the U.S.”
