Laurel Hill

Catamount Energy is currently developing a wind farm on Laurel Hill in Pennsylvania.

The Laurel Hill project is located in the Jackson and McIntyre Townships, three miles south of Liberty in Lycoming County.

The company has collected nearly two years of wind data from a 50-meter meteorological tower located on the site. The initial reports confirm the wind source at the site will support a utility-scale wind project.

This energy will be sold to surrounding communities throughout Pennsylvania and would replace energy generated by less environmentally friendly fuels such as oil, natural gas, coal, and nuclear power.

This technology will also help to reduce U.S. dependence on imported oil and other non-domestic fuels.
