Andershaw Wind Farm,

Andershaw Wind Farm

Catamount Energy Ltd has submitted an application to S. Lanarkshire Council to build a wind farm on farmland south of Douglas. The site is currently commercial forest land.

The site was selected after a lengthy process to identify potential wind farm sites across the UK, taking into account landscape sensitivities as well as planning, environmental and technical criteria.

In addition to the turbines, the wind farm will consist of a landscaped substation and access tracks.

Andershaw is being jointly developed by Force 9 Energy and Catamount Energy Ltd (CEL). CEL will be the owner of the project and is a joint venture between Catamount Energy Corporation and Statkraft Development AS.
